  • Chalk adheres well to the coat, including darker coats, and is completely washable with a quick application.
  • Blow pens deliver a lighter pop of color, perfect for owners who want to try something fun without a full commitment, and wash out easily.

All color appointments or add-ons should be requested at the time of scheduling so we can have the right color and time set aside for your pup.

How Coat Color Affects Your Dog's Results

Coat color and texture play a big role in how vibrant the results will be. Lighter coats take color best and produce the most vivid, true-to-shade results. Darker coats can still take color, but the shade will be more subtle unless the coat is lightened first.

We do offer a lightening service for dark coats, but we want to be upfront: it is a two-step process that requires extra appointments and a longer grow-out period. We will walk you through the process during scheduling so you can make the best choice for your dog.

Hair Tinsel

Want to add a little glam without the dye? Dog hair tinsel is a fun and eye-catching option. We attach tinsel strands to the ears or tail using a small crimped bead in a variety of colors and styles.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Tinsel is not recommended for dogs that go long stretches between grooms or without regular brushing at home.
  • Beads can loosen over time. If one appears loose, it can often be pulled out safely.
  • Tinsel is not recommended in homes with cats, as cats tend to chew on it.
